Penske Senior Accountant in Reading, Pennsylvania
The Penske Senior Accountant position has responsibility for supporting the account reconciliation and reserve accounting processes in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and internal accounting policy. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide expertise in Medical Insurance Reserve Accounting support across the Penske Finance organization.
-Responsible for the accounting, financial analysis, and process metrics related to several high-risk reserve accounts.
-Assist the supervisors in monthly preparation, review, and sign-off of account reconciliations and the balance sheet.
-Investigates material, sometimes complex, balance sheet fluctuations, and document differences for management.
-Work with global teams, external customers, and internal customers across the Penske Finance community.
-Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelor’s Degree Accounting required, CPA preferred
3 years of related experience in the field of accounting required
Familiar with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) required
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required
Strong communication skills required
