Penske Warehouse Worker - Lead Inventory Clerk in Grand Prairie, Texas
-The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the facility. The Inventory Control Lead will also be responsible for ensuring a conforming product mix, facilitating efficient order fulfillment, and contributing to a safe and orderly working environment.
This is a 1st shift position. Days are Wednesday - Saturday. Hours are 5am - 3:30pm.

-Responsible for completing physical inventories, cycle counts, random audits and reconciliations
-Track and report non-conforming product
- Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
-Research and reconcile product discrepancies/variances of over/under amounts and damaged products
-Publish weekly/quarterly inventory metrics
-Work with warehouse personnel to ensure proper rotation and location of all inventory
-Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory
-Maintain product identification and location program
-Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed (performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them)
-Task associates accordingly throughout the day to ensure optimal operations and minimal overtime.

-Ensure day-to-day management and associate activities are in alignment with the location safety strategy, provide associates with communication, training, feedback, and direction to ensure safe performance, ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
RTO Certification - Preferred

At least 1 year of warehousing or material-handling (using hand/power tools and hand truck) equipment experience required
Prior inventory or receiving experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior use of warehouse management systems and scanners preferred
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn in-house systems required
Must be able to work varied schedule including weekend and early morning shifts
Flexible to work overtime preferred
Ability to read, write, and speak English required
Ability to follow directions, and basic math skills required
Requires the ability to pay close attention to details, meet deadlines, and work with difficult individuals
