Our current Mid-Atlantic Inside Sales Representative has been promoted to a Rental Sales Representative with Penske and we are looking for someone to fill this position. Due to the explosive increase in the demand for our commercial vehicles, Penske is seeking highly qualified individuals for our entry level Inside Sales Rep position, selling our vehicles in a B2B environment in specific geographic market. Qualified candidates will be ambitious, competitive, and highly self-motivated individuals who want to further develop their selling skills with an innovative and growing company.
The primary function of the Inside Sales Representative role is to make outbound phone calls to new leads, previous leads and existing customers. Focus is on turning these leads into sales opportunities by following-up on their past and current inquiries. Secondary function is to receive inbound phone calls from new leads and existing customers and to convert those leads into sales opportunities. Position involves building customer relations, negotiating, overcoming objections, and entering call activity into CRM tool salesforce.com.

-Generate leads through targeted prospect lists, based on Penske’s business model utilizing the following lists: re-start, competitor, “click-thru” from recent e-mails, FleetSeek and Polk-data.
-Develop leads into prospective customers by providing “white glove” treatment during cold-calls, using internal systems to qualify prospects, and set appointments with appropriate Lease Sales Representative.
-Attend and participate in district and area sales team meetings, presenting key metric data from Inside Sales.
-Attend sales meetings with prospective customers to become fully-versed in the entire contract sales process.
-Other projects as assigned by the supervisor
-HS diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
-1 – 3 years’ experience with inside sales required
-Prior Penske experience as a management trainee or other internal position where customer and/or sales training has been completed highly preferred
-Experience generating successful leads utilizing targeted prospect lists using Penske’s business model, resulting in booked deals and revenue required
-Expert cold-calling skills with business contacts required
-Must have a thorough understanding of the specific geographic market
-Proficient in the use of internal systems to qualify prospects
-Proficient knowledge of specifications and financing alternatives, and ability to explain to prospective customers
-Proficient in strategic prospecting, utilizing network technologies
-Strong written and verbal communication skills required
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
