Penske Truck Driver – CDL Class A/No Touch Freight – Penske Logistics in Terre Haute, Indiana

Youwill be part of an in-house dedicated fleet supporting a leading manufacturerof Specialty Polymer Formulation products. Freight types consist of palletizedbags, super sacks and gaylords. Routes are primarily throughout the Midwest with some lanes serving thenortheast, TX and FL. Typically we will be routing a driver out of Elyria, OHand through other locations with some outside backhaul. Most driverswill be home weekly and some could be home a couple of times a week dependingon the customer’s routing needs .

- Drivers must have“tanker” certification within 60 days of hire (certification is only requiredbecause we occasionally carry drums of liquid in excess of the standard DOTallowance), and the company will reimburse associate for cost to add tankercertification to license.


  • New Freightliner Cascadia Condo’s w/APU’s (driver assigned)

  • 2013 or newer 53’ dry vans.

$60 to $70K annual W2potential

- All miles paid plus paidstops and delays

-$.47 cents a mile(approximately 2450 miles a week)

-$21.00 a stop (approximately5 per week)

-Paid delays at $16.00 perhour (compensable after 2 hours)

- Monthly performancebonuses (up to $450 quarterly)


-Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment.

-Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.

-Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route.

-Primary interface with the customer at point of delivery.


Job Qualifications:

  • At least 23 years of age, CDL Class A license required (no touch freight)

  • 24 months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience in the last 5 years

  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents

  • Ability to pass DOT Physical, DOT Drug Screen and background screening process

  • Drivers must have “tanker” certification within 60 days of hire (certification is only required because we occasionally carry drums of liquid in excess of the standard DOT allowance), and the company will reimburse associate for cost to add tanker certification to license.

  • Border crossing credentials are not required but are preferred as that loads go into Canada occasionally, and company will reimburse associate for cost to obtain border crossing credentials.
