In turn the Freight Coordinator will negotiate market rates for loads with Backhaul customers (Shippers and Brokers).\n \n\nMajor Responsibilities:\n\nGeneral:\n-   Identify and maintain database of shippers as potential freight sources.\n-   Solicit brokers and shippers, quote rates.\n-   Execute load moves working between shippers and operations.\n-   Function as a single point of contact for contracted backhaul customers to resolve issues.\n-   Identify process improvement opportunities in freight coordination activities.\n\nBackhauls:\n-   Identify and coordinate relationships with freight brokers and shippers.\n-   Identify empty lanes and maintain a tracking list. \n-   Develop list of target shippers and brokers; receive lead and contact information from a variety of sources; and secure loads that can be effectively handled by the fleets.\n-   Secure and tender load to a company dedicated fleet; ensure load is picked up and delivered timely; and ensure billing is processed accurately and timely. \n-   Understand aging of receivables and manage slow, late payments. Recognize trends for potential payment defaults.
