Position Summary:
A Penske JAVA Web Developer will develop and maintain computer applications for end user groups. Analyze performance of applications, and troubleshoot problems. Involved in the coding, testing and documentation of the proposed solution.
Some level of relocation assistance will be considered.
Major Responsibilities:
-Design, Develop and test applications using web based technologies such as JSP, Servlets, Struts, Spring, iBatis, HTML, Javascript, CSS, AJAX, Web Services and JAVA
-Involved in ongoing systems monitoring, identifying system performance issues and general support of assigned applications
-Analyze software solutions based on customer requirements and suggest the best solution
-2 years of experience and full fluency in the following platforms/languages is required: JAVA/J2EE, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL
-2 years of experience including development and implementation of functional and technical specifications for applications is required
-1 year of project management experience preferred
-Bachelor's degree preferred
-Demonstrated experience in testing and debugging techniques required
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
