Assistant District Manager in Kansas City Missouri United States

Position Summary:
A Penske District Operations Manager provides general management for supporting Penske's business development objectives of contract, commercial, and consumer rental revenue growth. Drive all performance through preventative maintenance quality, effective cost control, asset management, and associate development. Grow both top revenues and bottom line pretax by cost containment and strengthening all customer and vendor relationships through flawless delivery of administrative and maintenance services.

Major Responsibilities:
-Maintains district financial integrity
-Understand how to move key metrics
-Provide direct supervision to the operations team through setting objectives and performance reviews
-Develop and retain associates and create pipeline of new hires
-Manage vehicle assets - rental fleet mix, unprofitable customers, units/fleets, sale and trade, and condition of equipment
-Drive effective use of resources to optimize cost through central administration processing
-Ensure Safety policies and procedures are adhered to and reduce worker's compensation claims
-Penske Electronic Matching System(PEMS) and Purchasing Card(PCARD) management and administration-Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

-At least 7 years of rental/contract maintenance customer service and sales required
-3 years supervisory experience required
-5 years of Penske experience preferred
-High School Diploma or equivalent required
-Bachelor's degree preferred
-Strong financial and controllership aptitude required
-Strong planning, analytical, and organizational skills required
-Strong written/verbal communication and people management skills required
-Mechanical understanding of vehicles required
-Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint preferred
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
