Penske Warehouse Worker - Forklift Operator in Dallas, Texas
Penske Logistics is looking for experienced Forklift Operators to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.
This is a first shift position. Days are Monday - Friday. Hours are 8am - 5pm.
Job requirements may include the following where applicable:
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of powered industrial trucks (PIT)
Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to transport stored items throughout the warehouse to pick, stage, and put-away product
Accurately stage and sort products for loading
Opens and closes dock doors
Load and unload trucks/trailers
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets
Complies with all safety requirements
Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received
Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
At least 1 year of warehousing or material-handling (using PITs) equipment experience required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
Flexible to work overtime preferred
-Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required
-Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
