Position Summary:
A Penske Master Black Belt will be responsible for the delivery of technical training, mentoring black/green belts, project identification and project support. This includes ensuring the Six Sigma improvement goals are met, Six Sigma tools and methods are appropriately used, and the results are sustained. This position requires individuals to lead and influence all levels of the organization.
Major Responsibilities:
-Formal training of green belts, black belts and others in all skill sets
-Use and consult of advanced statistical techniques and quality tools
-Mentoring and coaching black belts and green belts in the use of Six Sigma statistical tools and methodology to ensure timely completion of projects to deliver expected results
-Leading efforts to identify and align project opportunities with customer and leadership priorities
-Actively lead teams and apply Lean and Six Sigma methodology, project and change management concepts and tools to solve problems and achieve specified improvements-Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
-At least 2 years experience as a Black Belt using the DMAIC methodology or previous Master Black Belt experience is required
-An engineering background and formal training experience is a plus.
-Prior experience in facilitation, project management, change management, and analytical aptitude skills are required.
-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Bachelor's degree in Quantitative/Qualitative Analysis Techniques preferred
-Written and oral communication and presentation skills must be highly developed.
-Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Access required
-Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint required
-Prior experience with Microsoft Project, Mini-Tab, or other statistical software preferred
-Willingness for travel, including overnight, up to 25% required
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required-The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
